MFA by Text Message

Modified on Fri, 20 Sep at 3:38 PM

To receive text messages from Symphony, follow these steps when registering.

  1. Select the SMS option at the MFA set-up step
  2. Enter the wireless carrier
  3. Enter the wireless phone number
  4. Enter the six-digit code received via text.
  5. Click Authenticate.

Troubleshooting

Users with international phone numbers must use an authenticator app (See Smartphone Apps for MFA or MFA Browser Extensions).

If a text message takes more than 5 minutes to arrive during login, it will expire (See Figure 1).

  • Request the code again by starting over.
  • Sometimes disabling wi-fi helps speed up the delivery of the code.

Making Text Message Changes

Submit a Ticket to change or update the MFA text messages.
Include the following information.
