Authentication Failed

Follow these steps to troubleshoot an Authentication Failed message encountered in Symphony.

 

1. Click Forgot Password

If Authentication Failed appears during sign-in:
  1. Verify that the correct website is being accessed. Use the links below to confirm the contract vehicle.
  2. Select the Forgot Password link to proceed with troubleshooting (see Figure 1). 

Note: Pay attention to the logo and website address. 
 

See Using Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) if the code fails or cannot be retrieved by a text message or through an Authenticator app.

Symphony supports the following contract vehicles

GSA   =   ALLIANT 3      ASTRO      OASIS      OASIS PLUS      POLARIS     

DHA   =   HEC      MQS-NG      OMNIBUS    (Legacy) MQS


2. Enter the Email Address

Symphony sends a temporary password and reset link to the email address entered if an account exists (see Figure 2).


  • Make sure the website is correct (see the links above for each contract vehicle).
     
  • Make sure the email address is correct.
     
  • Check Spam and Trash folders

3. Use the Reset Password link

Follow the email's instructions if Symphony finds the account. 


  • Password resets must be initiated on the same Symphony website. 
     
  • Try to register if an email is not received (see Figure 3). 


4. Change the Password

Passwords must meet the following criteria:

  • A minimum of eight characters
  • At least one uppercase letter 

  • At least one lowercase letter

  • At least one number

  • At least one acceptable special character
