Respond to clarifications in Symphony by following these steps.
1. Select View Details
Only authorized users (SAM POC administrators and Open Market Proposal Managers) will be notified of a clarification request (see Administration Basics).
- Find the Submission stated in the notification on the Symphony Dashboard.
- Select View Details for the Submitted proposal in the referenced solicitation (see Figure 1).
- The proposal details are displayed.
Figure 1. The View Details link appears after the proposal submission
2. Select Clarifications
A notification icon displays on the Clarifications tab when the government sends a request. Clarifications can also be used for communications and may not allow for response (see How Mass Clarifications Work).
- Select the Clarifications tab.
- A clarification response that Needs Attention will be displayed. The orange color means that a response is required.
- Review the Program Office inquiry.
3. Provide a Response
Clarifying information must be entered in the response space and supporting documentation can also be uploaded.
- Users can select Cancel and then Save to make changes.
- After submission, users cannot edit their reply.
4. Submit Response
Submit a reply to the Program Office before the clarification deadline.
- Submission is instant.
- Symphony does not send submission receipts.
The submitted status displayed is Responded to the Program Office.
- The status change confirms that the response was submitted and is available for the program office or evaluation team.
- A Read-Only View of the clarification communications is displayed after submission.
- The colors are system-managed. Green means no response is required.
