Using Order Q&A as Industry

Follow these instructions to respond to Orders Pending Questions in Symphony. 


1. Select the Tracking Number

The Orders tab displays all available orders in Symphony for the contract holder (see Figure 1)

  • The Tracking Number is a link to an order Released-Pending Questions
  • The Q&A function is only available before the Question Deadline.

 Figure 1. Contract Holders may only see and respond to an RFI/RFP on the Orders tab of their Dashboard if it is released to their company and their selected socioeconomic and market segments.


2. Select Ask Questions

Use the Ask Questions tab to send inquiries to the Contracting Officers (see Figure 2)

3. Add Questions 

  1. Questions about the order are entered in the space provided (see Figure 3)
      
  2. Adding a reference term from the solicitation categorizes the inquiry.  
      
  3. Save and Add each question to the Unsubmitted Questions list.  

Note: Users can ask questions multiple times but must follow the warning not to provide personally identifiable information (PII).

4. Review the Unsubmitted Questions 

All users in an organization can see, edit, delete, and arrange the order of unsubmitted questions (see Figure 4).

5. Submit Questions 

Questions are not sent individually but as a complete list (see Figure 5). An acknowledgment of submission is displayed on the questions screen.

6. Monitor Questions 

Symphony displays a Submitted Questions area for monitoring (see Figure 6)

  • Users cannot recall a question or make changes after submission. 
  • If the Contracting Officer(s) respond, the answer is displayed next to the question.
