Using Order Q&A

Follow these instructions to respond to orders Pending Questions in Symphony. 


1. Select the Tracking Number

The Orders tab displays all available orders in Symphony. 

  • The Tracking Number is a link to an order Released-Pending Questions. 
  • The Q&A function is only available before the Question Deadline.

 

2. Select Ask Questions

When you have questions about the order, use the Ask Questions tab to send your inquiries to the Contracting Officers. 

  • Questions can be drafted, edited, reorganized, removed, and submitted at one time. 
  • You can send questions multiple times but follow the warning not to identify yourself or your company in the question. 

  

3. Add your Questions 

  1. Questions about the order are entered in the space provided. 
  2. Adding a reference term from the solicitation categorizes your inquiry.  
  3. As you complete each question, Save and Add to place the item in the Unsubmitted Questions list.  

 

4. Track Unsubmitted Questions 

All users in your organization can see unsubmitted questions. 

  • All users can edit or delete unsubmitted questions. 
  • All users can arrange the order of multiple questions by moving them up or down in the list. 
  • The Contracting Officers will not see Unsubmitted Questions. 

 

5. Submit Your Questions 

Questions are not sent individually but as a complete list of all your questions. 

  • An Acknowledgment of submission is displayed on the questions screen.

 

6. View Submitted Questions

Symphony displays a submitted questions area for you to monitor. 

  • You cannot recall a question or make changes after submission. 
  • If the Contracting Officer(s) respond, the answer is displayed next to your question.
