Modified on Thu, 15 Jun 2023 at 03:27 PM

Please follow these instructions to successfully ask questions and view responses for solicitations in Symphony.

Step 1. Go to Ask Questions

Step 2. Enter your Question

Step 3. Review Unsubmitted Questions

Step 4. View Submitted Questions

1. Go to Ask Questions

From the solicitation section in Symphony, the available solicitation will have a button to go to the Ask Questions page if the Program Office enables the feature.

Questions can be submitted at any time after the solicitation is posted at

  • Please note, the option to Ask Questions is only available before the Question Deadline.

2. Enter your Question

In the Question entry field, you will enter a reference term for the section of the solicitation you need to be clarified, or you may enter a more general reference, as applicable, and then you can enter your question. As you complete each question, Save and Add to place the item in the Unsubmitted Questions list. You can also clear your work as needed.

3. Review Unsubmitted Questions

In the unsubmitted state, you can edit or delete questions. If you have multiple questions, you can rearrange the order of the questions by moving them up or down in the list. Additionally, unsubmitted questions can be seen by all users in your organization so that others can view and edit them as needed.

Make sure you submit your questions.

  • Acknowledgment of receipt of questions will not be made except as displayed on the questions screen.
  • If there are any Unsubmitted Questions, they will not be seen by the Program Office.

4. View Submitted Questions

This area is only for reference. You cannot recall a question or make any changes to it once your questions have been submitted. If the Program Office responds in Symphony, the answer displays next to your question.

Per Federal Acquisition Law, you will be notified when a consolidated list of questions and answers is available for your review at  A link to View Responses may be available on the Symphony dashboard if the Program Office enables the feature.
