Assembling Your Proposal

Modified on Mon, 17 Jun 2024 at 05:45 PM

To assemble your proposal(s) in Symphony, complete these steps:

1. Complete Your Company Profile

The My Company link allows you to build your company asset library before proposing a solicitation (See Figure 1)

  • Your company asset library forms the building blocks for your proposal(s).
  • It is reusable across all proposal submissions and stores general information (See Using Symphony as a Business).

Figure 1. The My Company link is always on the top menu bar.

2. Start Your Submission(s)

When the Solicitation is open to submissions, you can "Start your Submission" for the desired area or "Continue your Submission" to complete your proposal in multiple sittings or review before submission.

3. Add Your Assets

Pick your Teaming Partners

Adding Team Members or MRCLs to your proposal uses the Team Members or MRCLs tab and the select box.

Once added, the Business Factors on the Proposal Overview page will show half-shading to represent the claims coming from the members (regardless of how many have a factor) (See Claiming Business Factors).

Pick your Projects

  1. Adding Projects to your proposal uses the Projects tab and the select box (See Documenting Projects/Past Performance).
  2. Using the Begin or Modify to claim Performance Factors helps you to receive points for your solicitation-specific experience (See Figure 4).
    • You must link to a file for reference and should provide reference “tags”.
    • Tags are comments you create and add to your supporting documents.
    • You can reference multiple documents and select or deselect these references as needed.

4. Check Out the Live Score

The Live Score button at the top of the screen allows you to review your Scorecard, point values, and how many points you have as you add your company assets to your offer (See Figure 5).

Figure 5. The Live Score is in the top right corner of your proposal.

The Review Tab provides a more detailed look into your SAM Data, Scorecard, and the company assets included in your offer (See Figure 5).
